Champawat, October 15 (IANS). Taking another important step towards Adarsh Champawat, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday laid the foundation stone and performed Bhoomi Pujan of the ‘Way Side Amenity’ project to be constructed at a cost of around Rs 1.60 crore in Amodi. Under the announcement of the Chief Minister, this ambitious project is being established in collaboration with Village Upliftment Project (REP) and Uttarakhand Agricultural Production and Marketing Board, Rudrapur. Addressing the villagers, Chief Minister Dhami said that the main objective of this project is to encourage tourism activities in the area, provide necessary amenities to the travelers and create new employment opportunities for the local villagers. Chief Minister Dhami said that under this way side comfort, other facilities such as comfortable resting places, modern toilets, refreshment facilities, sales centers of local products and handicrafts will be developed for the passengers. The government works dedicatedly for the welfare of every section. On this occasion officials Shyam Narayan Pandey, Anil Dabbu, Shankar Koranga, BJP District President Govind Samant, District Panchayat President Anand Adhikari, BJP State Minister Nirmal Mehra, District Magistrate Manish Kumar, Superintendent of Police Ajay Ganpati, public representatives and officials and others were present. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami wrote in a post on social media platform During this time I was overwhelmed by the welcome extended by the elders, youth and mothers and sisters.
