Great disclosure in Malegaon Blast case: Former ATS officer claims -"RSS head, Mohan Bhagwat, was under pressure"

A former senior police officer of the Maharashtra ATS (Anti -Terrorism Squad), who investigated the series explosions in Malegaon, Maharashtra, in 2008, claimed a shocking claim on Thursday. He said he was put under pressure during the investigation to arrest Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), head of Mohan Bhagwatwat. This startling disclosure came up at a time when the NIA’s special court recently acquitted all the seven accused in the Malegaon Blast case. The court found that the prosecution failed to submit adequate and reliable evidence against the accused. The former ATS officer said in a conversation with the media: “I was told that the direction of the investigation should be deduced in such a way that Mohan Bhag who could be accused. I was put under pressure to arrest them, even if there was no concrete evidence for it.” He further said that he did not put down before this pressure, but that other officials of the investigative agency began to work in this direction. However, this claim has not yet been confirmed an official confirmation, nor was there an answer from any higher officer or the government. Let us know that six people were injured in the explosions in Malegaon on September 29, 2008. The case was initially at the Maharashtra ATS and was later handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). The political atmosphere was warm after this statement from the former officer. RSS Supporters and BJP leaders declared this claim as “victory of the truth” and said that it confirms all the things the organization said from the first day -that this case was part of the political conspiracy. On the other hand, opposition parties and some social organizations demanded an investigation into the claim. He says that if an attempt is made to imply the head of a central organization on false charges, it is a serious threat to democracy and rule of law. Now it will be important to see if the government is an investigation committee after this statement or the court took note of it. But it is certain that the Malegaon Blast case is no longer a criminal case, but it has become a big question about the operation of politics, legal system and investigations. Share this story -tags
