Great enthusiasm in Western Bengals on Mahashtami, crowd met in Puja Pandals
Kolkata, September 30 (IANS). Navratri have a special meaning in Western Bengals. Goddess Durga is worshiped with large pump in different parts of the state on the Mahashtami of Navratri and there are a crowd of dedicated in the Puja Pandals. Both women and men reach the Puja Pandals and offer cliffs and worship Mother Durga. A large multitude of dedicated can also be seen around the pooja mandap of Nandan Durgotsav Samiti in the Kanthi area in the East Medinipur district. The dedicated here are constantly reaching to see the goddess. On this sacred occasion, the leader of the opposition Suvendu Adhikari, leader of the Western Bengale, will also go to the Puja Pandal and salute Maa Durga. In Rampurhat or Birbhum District, a large crowd meets for the worship of Mahashtami in Durga Puja Mandapas. Fans in the temples and puja pandals here offer great enthusiasm to the goddess. Fans also participate in worship by singing mantras collectively amid hymns through priests in temples. Pooja Mandap Village of Kolaghat has been conquering people since morning. This Durga Puja is done on the initiative of the residents of the village of Pulsita. The residents decorate the pavilion themselves. This puja pavilion is full of rural environment. A crowd of hundreds of people has reached to Darshan since the morning on the day of Mahashtami. At the same time, in the Purulia district, there is an influx of people for the worship of Mahashtami in Sarvajanin Durga Puja Pandal of East Hura. The specialty of this puja pavilion is that it has entered its 50th year this year. Maa Durga is worshiped here for 50 years and cultural programs are arranged at this event every year.
