Great gift from the Yogi government, additional buses will run at festivals, managers will get incentive
Lucknow, October 14 (IANS). Based on the instructions of the main minister Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar Pradesh government has begun extensive preparations to secure safe and smooth journey of the people of the state at major festivals such as Diwali, Bhaiya Dooj and Chhath. The officials declared the incentive period in the state from October 18 to October 30, and were instructed to ensure the maximum bus industry and the ease of passengers. StateAntseer Transport (Independent Charge) Minister Singh said that the large crowd of passengers would keep in mind during festivals, extra buses on large routes, including Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Ayodhya, Kanpur for Passengers from Delhi to East -Auttar Pradesh. In addition, the number of buses will also be increased for Ghaziabad, Meerut, Moradabad, Bareilly, Saharanpur, Agra, Aligarh and Etawah. He said that the return journey of Lakhs from Purvancal during the Chhath festival should be completed without any inconvenience, that is the priority of the government. The Minister of Transport has given clear instructions that all corporation buses should remain 100 percent on the road during this period. He said that unfit buses will be operated under any circumstances. Orders were given to ensure the composition of buses, availability of parts and the necessary equipment. He also said that for the ease of passengers, arrangements for cleanliness, drinking water, seat arrangements, digital grid and help centers at the bus stations. The government has announced an economic incentive scheme for managers, conductors and employees working during the incentive period. Prabhu Narayan Singh, managing director of Transport Corporation, said that the driver conductors who will be on duty 12 days and drive an average of 300 km a day will receive an incentive amount of Rs 4800 at a rate of Rs 400 per day. If an employee is constantly doing duty for 13 days and complies with the prescribed standards, he receives an incentive amount of Rs 5850 at Rs 450 per day. Contracted drivers and conductors get an extra honorarium of £ 0.55 per kilometer to earn more kilometers than the standard. Workshop employees get a lump sum incentive of Rs 2500 for 13 consecutive days on duty and Rs 2100 for 12 days. For excellent work, regional managers will get Rs 10,000, service managers get Rs 5,000 and assistant -regional managers get extra incentive based on buses. The Minister of Transport also ordered that the maintenance teams should conduct continuous inspections during the incentive period and conduct tests for breathers on all managers and conductors so that there can be safe travel. -—IANS DKP/ Share these Story Tags
