Great relief for people, aadhair of children from 7 to 15 years of antiquity biometric update fees

New -delhi, October 4 (IANS). The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has renounced all the fees for compulsory biometric updates (MBU-1). On Saturday, an official said that about 6 Crore children are expected to benefit from this move. The exemption in MBU fee for the said age group has been implemented from October 1 and it will remain in effect for a period of one year. A child under the age of five can enroll for Aadhaar by giving his photo, name, date of birth, gender, address and birth certificate. For the Aadhaar entry of a child under five years, his fingerprint and iris biometry are not taken as it is not mature until that age. According to the Aadhaar Card rules, it is mandatory to update fingerprints, eyes -trainee (iris) and photo in Aadhaar. This is called the first compulsory biometric update (MBU). Similarly, if the child is 15 years old, he must again get a biometric update, called MBU. If the first MBU between the ages of 5-7 and the second MBU is done between the age of 15-17, these two updates are free. However, if these updates are made after this age restriction, each MBU must pay a fee of Rs 125. Now, however, the MBU has been made completely free for all children between 5-17 years under the new policy. The updated biometric information in the Aadhaar card provides life easier with admission to the school, registration for admission exams, bursaries, DBT (direct benefits transfer) -schemes, wherever it is applied. Parents or parents are advised to set up biometric information with priority in their children or divisions. Last month, more than 700 policymakers, startups and industry leaders met at the ‘Aadhaar Dialogue’ program in Hyderabad.
