A family in the middle class who spends about Rs 8,000-10,000 per month on groceries and food items saves about Rs 800-1,000 per month, which is more than Rs 10,000 per month, which is more than Rs 10,000 per month. GST on cheese, bread, packaged parathas and other articles used daily have now become zero, while butter, ghee, cheese, chocolate, rusks and pickles were removed from a plate of 18 or 12 percent after the slack from 5 percent.
