Gandhinagar, October 17 (IANS). Departments were divided among the new ministers of the Bhupendra Patel government of Gujarat. CM Bhupendra Patel retained many important departments including general administration, administrative reforms and training, while Harsh Sanghvi was appointed the deputy CM of Gujarat. The swearing-in ceremony of the new cabinet of Gujarat has concluded. Governor Acharya Devvrat administered the oath to all the ministers. The first meeting of the new cabinet lasted for one and a half hours at Swarnim Sankul 1. Departments were also divided. Harsh Shanghvi was made the Home Minister. Before that he was the Minister of State for Home Affairs. Harsh Sanghvi got the departments of Home Affairs, Police Housing, Jail, Border Security, Home Guard, Village Guard, Civil Defence, Prohibition and Excise, Transport, Law and Justice, Sports and Youth Services, Cultural Activities, Coordination of Voluntary Organizations, Industry, Salt Industry, Micro, Small and Medium Industries, Printing Stations, Printing Stations. Kanubhai Desai will hold the departments of finance, urban development and urban housing, while Jitendrabhai Vaghani will hold the responsibility of agriculture and farmer welfare, cooperation, fisheries, animal husbandry and cow husbandry. Hrishikesh Patel was given the responsibility of Energy and Petrochemicals, Panchayat and Rural Housing, Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs, Kunwarjibhai Bavaliya was given the responsibility of Labour, Skill Development and Employment, Rural Development and Nareshbhai Patel was given the responsibility of the department of Tribal Development, Khadi, Cottage Industries and Rural Industries. Arjunbhai Modhwadia will have Forest and Environment, Climate Change, Science and Technology, while Pradyumna Vaza will get Social Justice and Empowerment, Primary, Secondary and Adult Education, Higher and Technical Education and Ramanbhai Solanki will get Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs departments. As ministers of state, Ishwar Singh Patel got the portfolio of water resources, water supply (independent charge), Prafulla Panseria got the portfolio of health, family welfare and medical education (independent charge), Dr. Manisha Vakil has been given the portfolio of women and child development (independent charge), social justice and empowerment. At the same time, Parshittambhai Solanki was given the responsibility of fisheries, Kantilal Amritiya was given the responsibility of labour, skill development and employment, Rameshbhai Katara was given the responsibility of agriculture and peasant welfare, cooperation, animal husbandry and cow husbandry. At the same time, Darshanaben Vaghela got urban development and urban housing, Kaushikbhai Vekaria got law and justice, energy and petrochemicals, legislative and parliamentary affairs, Praveen Kumar Mali got forest and environment, climate change, transport, Jairambhai Gambit got sports and youth services, cultural activities, coordination of industry and got the industry, micro industry and coordination, medium industries, printing and writing. Has the responsibility of material, tourism and pilgrimage development, civil aviation department.
