Gujarat: Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel judges Monsoon preparations, emphasis on disaster management

Gandhinagar, June 11 (IANS). Gujarat chief minister Bhupendra Patel held a high -level meeting in Gandhinagar on Wednesday. In this meeting, he inquired about the preparations and in advance events of the state government to handle possible conditions with the upcoming monsoon. Apart from the state government departments, officials from the central meteorological department, NDRF and Coast Guard were also present in the meeting. Several departments of the state government began pre-monitic activities in the state and set up their disaster management departments to ensure that there was no negative impact on life in the case of rainfall. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said that the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team could reach in time to help the administration, if necessary during rainfall in Saurashtra and Kutch region, for this purpose it is necessary to deploy a team permanently for Kutch and Saurashtra. For this he has dr. Jayanti Ravi, additional general secretary of revenue division for the necessary coordination with NDRF. Chief Minister Patel told senior secretaries of all departments that it is also necessary to bring the recovery of war level positively through social media and media to reinstate life during the monsoon.
