Gujarat Chief Minister is campaigning in Bihar and appeals to voters to vote in favor of NDA
Patna, October 18 (IANS). Amid the Bihar Assembly election campaign, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel reached Bihar on Saturday to campaign in favor of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). At a public meeting in support of BJP candidate Virendra Singh in Wazirganj in Gaya district, CM Bhupendra Patel appealed to the voters to ensure the return of the NDA government in the state. Virendra Singh had earlier filed his nomination for the assembly at Wazirganj. Bhupendra Patel expressed his support and appreciated the development work done under the NDA government, especially the improvement in road infrastructure. He said there is a lot of difference between the roads of earlier and today. Bihar is progressing fast under the leadership of NDA. Quoting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, CM Patel said that PM Modi says that everyone worships the rising sun, but the people of Bihar also worship the setting sun. That is why Bihar is called heaven land. Highlighting the possibilities of cooperation between Bihar and Gujarat in sectors like industry, education and agriculture, the chief minister said that the NDA’s policies are focused on the welfare of farmers, the youth, women and the poor. Speaking during the speech, BJP candidate Virendra Singh said, “The people of Wazirganj are like my family. My aim is to serve and ensure the overall development of the area by creating employment opportunities for the youth.” Leaders and workers of BJP, JDU and other allies of NDA participated in the rally. Earlier on Friday, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav attended the nomination ceremony of BJP candidate Prem Kumar from the Gaya City seat. Wazirganj assembly seat, created after the 2008 delimitation, is a general category seat, with around 93 per cent Hindu voters in its 150 villages. –IANS PSK Share this story Tags
