Hararyana: Two policemen have suspended for demanding bribes in Karnal
Karnal, April 18 (IANS). On March 12, there were serious allegations of corruption in the Assandh CIA team in the murder of a female Sumitra in Manpura Village of Karnal, Haryana. It is alleged that policemen demanded bribes to save the accused from murder. The SP suspended two policemen while acting quickly in this regard. It is told that a bribe of Rs 37 Lakh was claimed in exchange for removing the names of the accused from the fir. This bribe was held near the middleman. The incident was revealed when a relative of the accused complained to the police on the case. After the complaint, the SP of Karnal acted immediately with the seriousness of the case and inspector Mandeep Singh in charge of Sandh Cia and another policeman Rishipal suspended. In addition, a case is registered with the Moonak police station Act under the Corruption Act. The investigation into the case is at the DSP level, while police have so far arrested nine accused in the murder case. The image of the police department is shocked by the allegation of the question of bribery. During the investigation, sufficient evidence is collected against the policemen and the entire case is investigated in depth.
