New -delhi, June 12 (IANS). Campbell Wilson, CEO and managing director of Air India, expressed deeply sadly over the Ahmedabad aircraft accident. In his statement after the accident, Wilson secured it as a difficult day for the airline and gave the assurance that all efforts were now focused on the help of passengers, crew members and their families. Wilson released a video message on the social media platform X and said it was a difficult day for all of us in Air India. Our effort is now completely focused on the needs of our passengers, crew members, their families and loved ones. Air India’s Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft flew from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick Airport as flight number AI 171.Irm, immediately after he flown, the plane suddenly came down and crashed. Wilson reported that the injured were immediately taken to the nearest hospitals by the local authorities. He said we are actively working with the authorities on emergency feedback efforts. A special team of health professionals from Air India goes to Ahmedabad to provide additional help. Air India has also launched a dedicated helpline to help concerned families and friends. Wilson said we know that many people are concerned about the well -being of their loved ones. We have set up a special helpline on which friends and family can contact us. He emphasizes the part of strong and accurate information and said that the airline is committed to keeping updates without spreading speculation. Wilson said the cause of the accident is being investigated, but it will take time. Currently, Air India is focusing on helping the affected families and all possible assistance to the investigators.
