According to him, the concept of Jaga Jakarta is not only an attempt to maintain safety, but also to promote collective awareness, so that every community organization can help maintain stability and order in their respective environments. “Community organizations have great social power. If all community organizations move in harmony with the police, harmony will be realized in the preservation of Jakarta. It is the spirit of ‘harmony of community organizations in the supervision of Jakarta’ that we work together,” he said. Asep transferred the four pillars on the protection of Jakarta: the protection of citizens, the protection of the environment, maintaining rules and maintaining trust, as guidelines for synergy between the police and the community to face the dynamics of the capital. The local police chief hopes this cooperation can strengthen the feeling of safety, while the relationships between residents are strengthened amid the diversity of Jakarta. Furthermore, the Inspector General Asep emphasizes the importance of a spirit of togetherness, mutual respect and tolerance in a multicultural society. He emphasized that although there are differences in background, all elements of society have the same responsibility to keep Jakarta calm and conducive. “We need to look after each other, understand each other and belong to each other, even if there are differences. The goal is one, namely a Jakarta that is safe, peaceful and full of togetherness,” he continued. He emphasized that the commitment of Pansda Metro Jaya to continue to strengthen the cooperation of the sector in the creation of a safe and harmonious Jakarta. He hopes that the spirit of ‘Waiting Jakarta’ can become a joint movement over organizations to build harmony between community organizations and the police for the safety of the capital. “Jakarta is our general home. Let’s guard it with a spirit of togetherness and shared responsibility,” he concluded. (Mea/DHN)
