New Ashok Nagar Namo Bharat Station's roof damaged, operation closed until next notice

New -Delhi, May 17 (IANS). The strong storm in the country’s capital Delhi damaged many areas on Saturday, including Namo Bharat station in New Ashok Nagar. According to the information received, part of the roof of the New Ashok Nagar station was damaged on Saturday night due to a strong and sudden thunderstorm. After the accident, the operation of all trains at the provident station was stopped immediately. The official statement issued by the officials associated with the Namo Bharat project said that a part of the tin roof of the New Ashok Nagar Namo Bharat station was damaged due to strong thunderstorms. Operations on New Ashok Nagar station were immediately discontinued as a warning. ‘ It is a matter of relief that no person was injured in this incident. The concerned officials arrived at the scene immediately and the area was besieged so that the safety of the passengers could be ensured. Preparations for repairs have been started on the spot and a detailed investigation is also conducted so that such incidents do not occur again. The statement further said that “investigation is being done and that the essential improvement work may occur in the future such incident.” At present, all services at New Ashok Nagar Station have been suspended and the station will remain closed until the next notice. Passengers are advised to continue their journey from alternative stations. The authorities have called on the passengers to maintain cooperation and ignore any rumor.
