Air India Cancel Milan-Delhi flight due to the interview issue
Mumbai, August 17 (PTI) Tata group, which owns the group on Sunday, said on Sunday that he had canceled his Milan-Delhi flight of August 16 after finding an interview issue at the last minute. Air India said in a statement that alternative arrangements fly the passengers to their destination, Air India said. “Flight AI138, which works from Milan to Delhi on August 16, was canceled due to a maintenance task identified during setback,” the statement states. “Our land team in Milan has expanded immediate assistance to all the passengers involved, provided hotel accommodation and offered full refunds on cancellation or free rescheduling as selected by the passengers,” it said. According to Air India, together with the interview issue, the operating staff of the flight fall under the compulsory norms for limiting flight time. Air India usually operates its Boeing 787-8/9 aircraft fleet to cater for European destinations. The airline, which came under private hands in January 2022, delayed and canceled a few flights at the last minute due to technical and maintenance issues. This is despite the fact that the CEO of the airline and managing director Campbell Wilson repeatedly claimed that Air India performed comprehensive checks on his Boeing 787 aircraft fleet. An Air India flight of Bhubaneswar Delhi was canceled just before the departure on August 3 due to the high cabin temperature. On July 31, an Air India Boeing 787-9 aircraft flying to London had to take off at Delhi airport and return to the Bay due to a technical problem. In a message to the clients recently, while taking the various steps after the fatal accident from an AI-171 flight to London shortly after the take-off of Ahmedabad Airport, Wilson said detailed inspections of his Boeing 787-8 and 787-9 aircraft were done and “no problems were found during inspection.”
