Chandigarh, September 28 (IANS). Haryana’s chief minister Naib Singh Saini held a meeting with top officials from Japanese companies in Gurugram on Sunday and invited him to invest in the state. A memorandum or unification (sleeve) was also signed with the Honda Company for construction and demolition waste management during the event. In terms of this agreement, the state government will supply land and waste to set up the plant, while the Honda business will produce tiles of waste. Chief Minister Saini is expected to visit Japan from 6 to 8 October. In an official statement, it is said that Chief Minister Saini discussed with senior officials of the major Japanese companies working in the state to promote investment. He also discussed the establishment of a group for Japanese companies in Haryana and invited them to set up this group in Narayangarh. CM Sainin said that Narayangarh is located about 40 to 45 kilometers from Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Punjab, which will greatly increase the trade. Chief Minister Sainin said that a detailed project report (DPR) has been prepared and that the work will start soon. A budget of about Rs 3,000 crore was made to ensure the availability of water in Manesar through the pipeline from Munak Canal. This arrangement is made taking into account the population growth over 25 to 30 years, so that it can be ensured that there is no lack of water. Chief Minister Saini has highlighted and encouraged the proper treatment of chemical water released by industrial units to adopt advanced technology. Industries must regain and reuse their wastewater, for which a plan was drawn up by the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation. In the first phase, this system is implemented in Manesar at a cost of about Rs 78 crore, which will help the industries reuse water. Chief Minister Saini emphasized the importance of the use of corporate social responsibility funds for development works. -Ians Aks/BC
