Jagran Correspondent, Mathura. A gruesome road accident took place at Mile 145 of Yamuna Expressway in Baldev at 3.30 am on Monday. The road bus of Etawah depot going from Noida to Agra suddenly collided with a truck which was traveling in the third lane. The collision was so severe that the front part of the bus was blown to pieces and 16 passengers were seriously injured. The Baldev police reached the spot and admitted all the injured to SN Medical College. The cause of the accident is believed to be the bus driver who fell asleep. There were 16 passengers in the bus. The road bus from Etawah depot came late on Sunday night with passengers from Noida to Agra. There were 16 passengers in the bus. At Mile 145 of Yamuna Expressway in Baldev, at 3.30 am on Monday, the bus driver dozed off suddenly and the speeding bus collided with a truck traveling in the third lane. The collision was so horrific that the front part of the bus was crushed. The glasses were broken, the seats were uprooted and the passengers in the bus were left screaming. 16 passengers were seriously injured in the accident, who were hurriedly taken out by police and highway personnel and sent to SN Medical College, Agra. The Baldev police reached the spot and started rescue work and removed the damaged bus from the road with the help of a crane and sent it to the Khandauli dumping ground.
