Houses and stalls in Bogor burned down, one person suffered burns to the face

Bogor – Four buildings consisting of a house, shop and timber warehouse in Parung, Bogor, West Java, caught fire. One person suffered burns to his hands and face. “That’s right, it happened early this morning. The objects that were burnt were residents’ houses, food stalls, basic food stalls and wooden warehouses,” said Head of Bogor Regency Fire Department (Damkar) Yudi Santosa, Sunday (19/10/2025). “On behalf of Nasrudin, one victim suffered burns on his hands and face. The victim was sleeping when the fire started, then residents woke him up. The total loss due to this fire is estimated at IDR 500 million-1 billion,” he added. The fire started at Nasrudin’s nasi uduk food stall, then quickly grew and spread to the house and to the basic food stall. “The fire started from Mrs. Isa’s uduk rice stall. Mrs. Isa’s husband, Nasrudin, was sleeping when the incident happened and it was unknown when the fire was small. Residents saw that the fire was already big and woke up Nasrudin, then the fire spread to the residence, wooden warehouse and the basic food stall belonging to Abd Wahi,” said Yuul Wahid. The fire, the cause of which is not yet known, was successfully extinguished after two fire-fighting units from the Parung sector were dispatched. Tackle was declared complete after officers struggled for 2 hours. “After receiving the fire report, 2 units went to the spot. When they arrived at the spot, the fire was still burning big, officers immediately extinguished it until the situation was safe,” said Yudi. (sol/idn)
