In light of the rising temperature and heat outbreak in Delhi, hospitals are on a warning mode. The Heat Stroke Unit at RML Hospital was commissioned while the heat stroke unit in the emergency of Lady Harding Medical College is currently closed. Last year, hundreds of people were sick due to the scorching heat and more than 80 patients were killed. State Bureau, New -Delhi. The temperature in the capital crossed 40 and the outbreak of heat began. In light of this, the heat stroke unit was started at RML Hospital so that patients who reached the hospital could be treated as a result of heat stroke. The Lady Harding Medical College (LHMC) has a heat slaughter unit in the emergency, but it is currently closed. Patients with heat stroke are being treated in other large hospitals in Delhi, including Safdarjung, but there is no heat -bare unit. Last year, so many deaths occurred due to burning heat, and last year hundreds of people were sick due to scorching heat and hot winds and more than 80 patients were killed. In Safdarjung Hospital alone, 33 patients died due to heat stroke. In addition, cases of death from patients have been reported due to heat stroke in many other hospitals, including RML, Loknayak, DDU, LHMC Hospital, but most deaths occurred in June. In light of the heatwave warning, RML Hospital has completed preparations for the treatment of people who get sick due to heat stroke. Dr Amalendu Yadav, head of the hospital’s emergency department, said the heat -stroke unit has four beds. In addition, five beds have been prescribed for the treatment of patients suffering from heat stroke in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Apart from this, beds will also be determined in wards according to the requirement. In patients, patients have a very high fever if the symptoms are vulnerable to heat stroke when the heat stroke is hit. Last year, patients reached the hospital for treatment, despite suffering from 107-110 degrees Fahrenheit fever. In such a situation, the medicine also fails to reduce fever. In light of this, two baths were installed in the heat stroke unit of RML Hospital. Dr Amalendu said that the patient will, if necessary, sit in this bath full of 50 kg of cold water so that the fever can reduce quickly. Doctors say that if the patients of heat strips have high fever, then there is a possibility of damage to the vital organs of the body, causing death. The LHMC Hospital has tubes, beds and a few equipment in the heat slaughter unit in the emergency of LHMC Hospital, but it does not work yet. A doctor in the hospital said the system in this unit will soon be improved and prepared for medical service. Most of the Delhi government hospitals are not good at treating heat strips. For this reason, it was seen last year that patients who were seriously ill due to heat stroke were sent to the RML and Safdarjung Hospital from many Delhi government hospitals.
