On the other hand, the team of Delhi’s Northern Railway Baroda House headquarters is investigating, while the forensic team of Punjab Police has also taken clues from the spot so that the correct information about the cause of the fire can be found. According to the eyewitnesses who were traveling in G-19 from Garib Rath, the reasons for the fire in the coaches have become clear, now these reasons need to be found out. It became clear to the Railways from these passengers that the reason for the fire in the coaches is not the carrying of any explosive material or anyone’s mischief. The passengers clearly say that the woman was sleeping on the seat in the compartment and a spark came from above due to which even the blanket of the woman got burnt. Therefore, it is believed that the fire may have started due to a short circuit near the air conditioner. This is how the accident happened: When the train arrived at Sirhind station, the staff present saw smoke and fire in bogie numbers G-16, 17 and 18. On this, the staff deployed in the train were informed about this, while the train was stopped a short distance ahead. During this time, the passengers also moved to another bogie to keep themselves safe. It was fortunate that the number of passengers was not many, thereby averting a major accident. These three coaches were separated from the train, while the passengers were brought to the Ambala Cantt railway station in other coaches. During this time, railway officials ordered three coaches from Chandigarh, which were put in the train and sent ahead. Passengers remained present at the station for about five hours. During this period railway officials made arrangements for food for the passengers.
