Delhi: The great action of the vigilance team, sub-inspector arrested to take bribes of 2 lakhs
New -Delhi, September 23 (IANS). The Delhi Police Vigilance Unit, while acting against corruption, arrested the IFSO (Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations) special sale, the sub-inspector Karamveer Singh (Batch 2010, employees No.5054), with a bribe of Rs 2 Lakh Red-Handed. The complaint was given to the vigilance unit by complainant Vishnu Bishnoi and his lawyer Vishal Shatra. According to the complaint, Si Karamveer Singh Vishnu’s bank account and many other accounts associated with it were frozen. He was then sent a notice in terms of section 35 (3) of BNSS, in which he was instructed to join the investigation. Vishnu and his lawyer said they went to the IFSO office several times and worked together on the investigation, but despite this Si Karamveer Singh, he demanded a bribe of Rs 5 Lakh to profane their accounts. Applications in court are also pending for Vishnu for the dissolution of the account. On Tuesday, Karamveer Singh Vishnu called to the Dwarka sector-14 metro station, where there was a plan to take a bribe of Rs 2 Lakh as the first installment. Karamveer Singh came into his private car and started driving the car by sitting in Vishnu. The vigilance team was already ready and started chasing the car. After chasing about 2 kilometers, the vigilance team stopped the car in Dwarka. Karamveer Singh tried to escape, but the team caught him. The bribe of Rs 2 Lakh was recovered from the dashboard of his car. In this case, a case is under section 7 of the Fir No. 22/2025 registered in the vigilance of the police station. The accused Si Karamveer Singh has been arrested and further investigation is on. According to the information, he has been placed in the IFSO unit since 2019. The Delhi police vigilance unit called on the citizens to complain immediately or claim any policeman bribes.
