Hrithik Roshan reached the Delhi High Court on Wednesday for the protection of personality rights

After Bollywood stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karan Johar and Abhishek Bachchan, now Hrithik Roshan also reached the Delhi High Court for the protection of his personality rights. He approached the court to plead for their protection. The case will be heard on Wednesday. It is said that Hrithik Roshan has filed a petition in court to protect his name, photo and other aspects of his personality from commercial use and abuse without permission. Justice Many Pritam Singh Arora can hear this case on Wednesday. The petition says that people also earn illegally using his photos and voice. It must be stopped immediately. Due to the growing tendency of generative AI and Deepfake technologies, a large number of people, from movie stars to industrialists, approaches to protect their personality rights. Its purpose is to commercial exploitation of the person’s name, photo, voice, etc. Without permission. Previously, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karan Johar and Abhishek Bachchan also went to court for the protection of personality rights. Several courts have given the three celebrities relief, and forbid the use of their photos and votes without permission. It is also said that the use of technology, including AI, portrays these actors in a misleading or derogatory way, is a violation of privacy and dignity. Experts believe that although there are no specific law on personality rights in India, the courts have given relief to individual celebrities under section 21 of the Constitution – which guarantee the right to privacy. Recently, singer Kumar Sanu approached the court regarding the protection of personality rights and he also gave relief.
