Four people, including an elderly couple, were killed and two others were seriously injured when a collision between a high speed car and a truck parked on Saturday between the standing car and a truck in the Fatehpur district Uttar Pradesh. Police said the tragic accident occurred on the National Highway-2 near Sujanipur crossing in Khaga in Fatehpur. The authorities broke the glass of the car and took the trapped passengers inside. Superintendent of the Police (SP) Dhawal Jaiswal said three people were found in the car on the spot. Three others, including a young woman and a child, were taken to the Community Health Center (CHC) in Hardoi for treatment. However, the SP reported that one of them was pronounced dead. The identity of the deceased 71 -year -old railroad officer Ram Kumar Bhargava, his son -in -law Prague Choubey, 50; And Shubham Yadav, 35, who was driving. All the deceased were residents of the Jhansi district. The survivors were identified as 36 -year -old Charu Bhargava, a software engineer, and his 12 -year -old son Kashwik, who was later transferred to the District Hospital in Fatehpur. It is said that his condition is critical. SP Jaiswal said the root of this tragedy is another accident. Ram Kumar’s younger son, Aditya Bhargava, who is an engineer, was recently brought underwater while taking a sacred bath in the river during a visit to the Omkarshwar Temple in Madhya Pradesh. The SP further said that a case is registered in connection with the incident and that the investigation is underway.
