The Home Department of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir temporarily suspended mobile and internet services at 74 cell IDs from two large private telecommunications companies in many areas of Bhadarwah in District Doda in light of the possibility of abuse of mobile data services by anti-national elements. Due to which telephone and internet service is not available to consumers of the above telecommunications service provider companies that work from these sectors. At the same time, the telephone and Internet and WiFi services of the government business BSNL run normally. The Jammu and Kashmir government issued an order from 20:00 to 27 May to temporarily suspend mobile Internet services in the Bhadarwah area of District Doda. This decision was made in light of the possibility of possible abuse of Internet services by anti -national elements, which could disrupt the public system. In the order, 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G and public Wi-Fi services are temporarily closed at a total of 37 places in many areas of Bhadrawah at 37 places and 18 cell ID (sector) of Airtel. This decision was made under rules for telecommunications (Tempere Savort of Services), 2024. It was said in the order that such information was received that anti -social elements could plot through mobile data services abuse to disturb peace. In such a situation, the administration took this step as a precaution. In this regard, BSNL Telecom District Udhampur officials said that BSNL’s cell phones, Internet and WiFi services are in general and smooth in the Doda district, including Bhadrawah.
