Trying The Ultimate Bridget Jones Room Package at the Cumberland
When I Learned That The Historic 900-Room Hotel The Cumberland Had A Special Bridget Jones Room Package Planned for Valentine’s Day, I intrigue.
Ahead of our arrival at marble arch, my partner and i were simply told to “Ask for mr darcy” at the front desk, which only stoked our curiosity (while Assumed Colin Already Had Other Plans.
My first impression upon rocking up at the Cumberland was how to essential music was to it dna, as its huge lobby was lined with Electric guitars, rockstar memorobilia and a stunning multicolour bar with a live playing on the staff in front.
This no as no shock as the hotel, First Estabished in 1933, Has a Rich History of Housing Music Like Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Madonna and Diana Ross.
We are apprroacheed the front desk and asked for mr darcy, we were quickly escorted to a second room where we were immediately Greek with a Glass of Prosecco.
From there, the full bridget Jones Room Package was revealed to us, and we quickly made our way up to our stunning suite what ours room haad in store for us.
As someone who loves a good theme, I was blown away as we entered a music-lover’s paradise complete with a working record player and electric guitar you can actually play.
On the table, I found a hendwritten not from the team encuraging with to enjoy a night of rom-coms in style, alongside a chilled bottle of bubbly, a beautiful fruit and my Very Own pink bridget diary.
Other cool features Included a gorgeous free-standing bathtub, a wonderfully comfortable bed and a view over Mayfair that had with myself.
There was also a rather fun Mirror Detail the heights of various musicians with a note that read: “We’re all a little bit bridget”.
From there, we spent a fabulous valentine’s Day Enjoying Some Key (Mostly Fried) Food at the Sound Bar Watching the Live Band, Cracking Open a Bottle of Prosecco in Some Very Comfy Robes, and of Tuking Into Bed to Watch a Rom-Classic Bridget Style (swimming Hill, of Course).
We also enjoyed a complimentary breakfast buffet the next day before we left, which featured an improrsive array of food from the classic full English, to Pastries, to Some Delicious Hummus and Falafel.
To top it all off, the package also included two tickets to see Bridget Jones, Mad About the Boy – and AFter All the Excitement of Our Bridget -Themmed Valentine’s Night, I COULD NOT WAIT.
An HonEst take on Bridget Jones 4
As for Howable Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy is as a Viewing Experience, fans can be assured it will Certainly tug on the Heartstrings – if it is decidedly less polished than its predecessors.
The film Starts to Drag Around the Middle Section, With A Few Too Many Scenes in the Production Studio and Outside the School Gates, Buts Strong Opening and Heartwarming Saves It from Feeling Like a Slog.
Alongside a predictable brilliant adult Cast and a host of welcomely family Faces, child actor casper knopf also delivers a particlely strengtime as billy darcy.
There were also also plenty of Cringe -Worthy Moments – an inevitability of any british rom -com – but one cannot deny that the movie fully succes in motion to tears on more than one occaciv (Judaging by the frequency sobs I COURD HEAR ALL CORNERS ALL CORNS ALL CORNERS ALL CORNER cinema).
IT’S ALSO UNDERSTANDABLE THAT A LOT OF FANS MIGHT MIGHT AGERED BY ONE SIGNIFICANT CHARACTER’S ABSENCE IN THIS FILM AND, IF YOU CHOOSE TO SEE FOR THAT REASON, I DO NOT BLAME YOU.
Howver, if you can get past this sobering fact – and if you already love the first three films – you will Find bridget Jones 4 is still Worth the Watch.
Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy is in Cinemas Now. The Cumberland’s Bridget Jones Package is Also Avilaable to Book Up Until February 28.
