In the Karnataka Lawyer Assembly, Congress Mla of Kunigal HD Ranganath Wednesday, while giving a fidget of the debate on possible leadership change in the state, said he would one day see his ‘political guru’ deputy chief minister DK Shivkumar. He said that the party’s high commando should recognize Shivkumar’s role in the victory of the congress with 140 seats in the 224 member meeting in 2023. Ranganath told reporters: “For me, my political Guru DK Shivkumar. We saw how he did social service, did administrative skills and development work.” He is a relative of the Deputy Head Minister. He said: “Every leader today says that the congress (in the Karnataka meeting) has received 140 seats with his (Shivkumar) efforts. The party’s high assignment must therefore determine the right place and respect for him.” The MLA said he firmly believes that Shivkumar, who also takes over as president of the congress, should eventually lead Karnataka. Ranganath said: “It is, of course, that the high assignment must make a decision with the wishes of congressmen, workers and voters of Karnataka.” He also said that he hoped it would take the form of reality in the coming days. When asked when this would happen, Ranganath replied that he was “very young to make such predictions”, and this decision must be made by the party’s high order. He insisted, “Our chief minister of Siddaramaeah has currently held five guarantee taking into account the poor people of the state, which is ideal for the country, but DK Shivkumar will become the main minister in the coming days.” Ranganath was asked if Shivkumar would become the chief minister in November this year, which is why he said he would not comment on it because he did not have such information.
