The National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested an active Maoist of Rohtak, Haryana. The accused was identified as Priyanshu Kashyap, a native of the Darbha region of the Maoist Bastar district of Chhattisgarh. Priyanshu Kashyap has long worked at the Maoist organization and its arrest has achieved the security forces a great success. According to NIA officials, Priyanshu Kashyap used to be deeply involved in Maoist activities and was involved in various terrorist activities. He was involved in many attacks and crimes committed by Maoists in the Bastar region of Chhattisgarh. His arrest can give important direction to the ongoing investigation against the Maoist organization. The NIA reported that he had received information that Priyanshu Kashyap had hidden in Rohtak and was in contact with the people associated with the Maoist network. Based on intelligence information, the NIA sent a team to catch him and arrest him. Now the accused is being questioned so that other networks and activities of the Maoist organization can be exposed.
