‘I’m sleeping with my personal trainer and my husband is paying for it’

After finding herself stuck in a loveless marriage, one bored wife has savagely revealed she’s been sleeping with the personal trainer – and her rich husband is unwittingly footing the bill

A wife has confessed to having a steamy affair with her personal trainer – and her husband is the one paying for the sessions.

While Eliza said she feels guilty for cheating on her husband James, she insists that coming clean and admitting she no longer loves her spouse is not an option. In a bid to hide the illicit affair, she keeps a stash of bags of clothes in her car to pretend she’s been shopping.

Instead, she is out being wined and dined in five-star hotels by her personal trainer Rob, but lives in fear of James finding out in case she ends up “homeless and penniless”.

Using her well-off husband’s money for steamy rendezvous with her PT is her “only option”, she says, insisting she feels “lonely and unloved” in her marriage. James gives Eliza £2,500 a month for shopping and beauty, and she uses that cash for her extra-marital activities.

Recalling the moment she met her loaded husband James at a friend’s wedding, he admitted his “expensive suit and Rolex” was the first thing she noticed. making no bones about the fact that she was as attracted to his money as much as him, she said that after living in a flat share in London and struggling, the thought of James’ £6 million townhouse was more than appealing.

But years later and the 40-year-old says their marriage leaves her feeling unseen: “Sometimes James and I barely see each other for days – and he’s always tired after work, so I stopped initiating sex. We’ve not slept together for over a year. Even though I’ve always made such an effort with my appearance, it made me feel so unattractive and undesirable,” as reported by The Sun.

So, in a bid to make herself feel better, she employed a personal trainer – Rob – who she described as 6ft 2in with “beautiful brown eyes” and said she thought he was “gorgeous”. The more time they spent together, the more she realized they had a mutual attraction and shared a chemistry she’d never had with James.

“In the year since we started the affair, I’ve probably spent more than £10,000 of James’s money – as well as the £3,000 I’ve paid to him in PT fees. The most I’ve ever spent was £600 on one night in a hotel – James was working away in London and I didn’t need to go home. I did rein it in later that month and made sure I didn’t spend anything else for a while.”

She makes sure when James is home, she returns with clothes and jokes with his friends about his wife’s “shopping addiction”. “I sometimes feel guilty. I don’t hate James, I just shouldn’t have married him and now I’m trapped. But selfishly, I get to have somebody who adores me, and to feel good about myself, and my marriage feels more bearable. I don’t feel as guilty towards Rob’s wife – they’re not in love, anyway, but I’d feel awful if his daughter knew.”

Despite “falling for him”, she isn’t ready to leave her husband – and Rob also has a partner and a daughter.
