IMD released yellow warning for six districts of Gujarat on Navratri

Gandhinagar, September 21 (IANS). On -boy rains turned water amid preparations for the Navratri festival starting on Monday, including Gujarat. While millions of dedicates were ready for the beauty of Garba and Dandiya, the meteorological division issued a warning of rain in many districts. The districts of South Gujarat for which the Meteorological Division issued a yellow warning contains Bharuch, Narmada, Surat, Tapi, Navsari and Falsead. In these districts, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in some places on the first day of Navratri Monday. The rain on Sunday created a situation of weakening on Garba sites in many areas. Hansot in Bharuch recorded about 1.5 inches of rain from 06:00 to 14:00. Likewise, there were reports of rain in Navsari and Chikhali, while Kheda, Anand, Surat, Tapi, Vadodara and Falsead also recorded Sporadic rainfall. Garba organizers say that preparation is experiencing problems due to water filling on site. If the rain continues in the coming days, it may disturb the celebration of Navratri. Meanwhile, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel repeated the intention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to “confident Bharat” while addressing a program of collaborative institutions in Amrel on Sunday. He said: “Prime Minister Modi said we should build a ‘chip’ or ‘ship’, we in India ourselves. It’s time to adopt indigenous goods and speed up the vowel for local.” CM Patel called on people to prioritize Indian products on the occasion of Navratri and Deepawali. He requested the shop owners to promote handmade goods from women -self -aid groups and Sakhi mandals. Navratri in Gujarat is one of the liveliest and most celebrated festivals of the state, recognized worldwide and Unesco accepted its cultural significance.
