Labor, transport contractors completed in Karnal

After a few days of uncertainty and long discussions, the Karnal district administration finally finalized labor and transport contractors for the current wheat acquisition season. The move brought relief to the agents and farmers who were concerned about the delay in the lifting. The contractors have been talking to district officials over the past few days on the issue of rates. This stalemate has created concerns among stakeholders that due to a lack of timely arrangements for handling and transportation to overload conditions in the Mandis, which can seriously disrupt the purchase. However, the contractors started working on Thursday after extensive discussion led by the additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Yashpal Jaluka. He said: “Labor and transport contractors were completed and they started working in all grain mandis. We also secured sufficient bags and instructed the carriers to accelerate the lifting.” According to the district food and supplies controller (DFSC) Anil Kumar, according to government norms 19 of the 21 transport contractors and 34 out of 41 labor contractors were completed. “It will make you work smoothly in the basket without any interruption.” Transport Contractor Ashok Khurana confirmed the start of the elevator after the final agreement. He said, “We are working completely now and will ensure a smooth and timely upliftment of wheat at all procurement centers.” Share this story -tags
