New -Delhi: In a world characterized by geopolitical uncertainties, India remains the most reliable partner worldwide, says Bhupender Yadav, Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. The trust is attributed to India’s political stability, visionary leadership, cultural values and strong commitment to a sustainable future, the minister said. He underlined that the essence of the Indian story lies in keeping India first. The minister emphasized that India recognized the challenges posed by climate change and committed to building resilience through adjustment strategies. He requested the annual Business Summit 2025 at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) annual Business Summit 2025 at a special plenary session on ‘India’s Climate Policy Architecture: Pathways for Emerging Economies’ to encourage the industry leaders to actively participate in a self -sufficient environment. He invited them to join the resource efficiency and the circular economy coalition, launched under the G20 presidency of India, as a collaboration platform to facilitate knowledge distribution and sustainable practices. Yadav set out three pillars from the Unique Climate Policy Architecture of India to align development requirements of emerging economies with ambitious climate goals. First, a self -sufficient circular economy. He said the government has set guidelines for extensive producer responsibility (EPR) for various sectors, including tires, batteries, plastic and e-waste, to promote recycling and sustainable consumption. Between 2022 and 2024, the recycling sector attracted investments totaling £ 10,000, which reflects the operating commitment to sustainable practices. The circular economy sector is expected to be worth $ 2 trillion by 2050, creating about 10 million jobs.
