After this attack, Darshan was banned for five days at the Ranthambore Fort and Trinetra Ganesh Temple. Ranthambore Trinetra Ganesh Temple Trust provided financial assistance of Rs 1.5 lakh to the family of the deceased child. In addition, the local administration and the forest department ensured all possible assistance to the victim’s family. The Tiger Sanctuary is spread over 1700 square kilometers. Ranthambore was founded in 1955 as a hunting reserve and in 1973 as a Tiger Sanctuary under Project Tiger. The area is about 1700 square kilometers. This sanctuary is located between Aravalli and Findhya Mountain Ranges, and is home to Tigers, Leopards, Nilgai, spotted deer, bear, crocodile and rare bird species.
