Mahendra Pandey, Lucknow. In Uttar Pradesh, every Gram Panchayat of each block is made rich in telecommunications services. 415 Gram Panchayats of the State was selected as a postal project. Of these, there are 277 grams of Panchayats from Uttar Pradesh East Circle and 138 grams Panchayats from Uttar Pradesh West Circle. It will be developed as a model Gram Panchayat by March 2026. The responsibility of it was entrusted to Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL). BSNL General Manager (CGM) of BSNL Uttar Pradesh East Circle AK Garg said the central government emphasized the development of towns. Its purpose is to improve the operation of Panchayats and make it more transparent, accountable and effective. In this order, initiative was taken to create the telecommunications model Gram Panchayat. In the selected Gram Panchayats, there are plans to connect five government institutions, five commercial institutions and at least five percent of the town’s families to the home (FTTH) to make them digitally empower them. Manish Kumar, general manager (PGM) of BSNL Uttar Pradesh East Circle, said it would increase communications facilities in rural areas. Better communication facilities will make it easier for people to achieve education, health and other government schemes, which will promote inclusive development. Selection of so many Gram Panchayats here, 20 in Prayagraj, 14 in Pratapgarh, 13 in Barabanki, 11 in Amethi, 10-10 in Sultanpur and Hardoi, 10-10 in Mau, Jaunpur and Jalaun, Nau-nine in Jaunpur and Jalaun, eight-Esig in Shahjahanpur, Sitpur and Banda, Eight-Eight, Eight-Esight, Gorakhpur, Kanpur Dehat, Kaushambi, Chandauli and Maharajganj, Seven Seven, Kanpur Nagar, Ambedkar Nagar, Ambedkar Nagar, Raiwaari, raiwaari, raiablei, Raiwa, Six-Six in Basti, Lalitpur, Ghazipur and Ayodhya, Five-Five Each Lucknow, Siddharthnagar, Lakhimpur Kheri and Deoria, four in Azamgarh, Jhansi, Bahraich, Farprekhabad and Kushinagar, four-four, Hamirpur, Unnao, Mirjapur, Bhadohi, Varanasi and Mahoba in three-three, ballia, ballia, ballia, Fatehpur and Mahoba Two-Two, One Gram Panchayat in Balrampur, Sonbhadra and Kannaauj.
