In the midst of tension in India-Pakistan, Bihar has claimed more volunteers from civil safety
In the midst of the ongoing struggle between India and Pakistan, the Bihar government has decided to significantly increase the number of volunteers in the civil defense in the state. There are currently approximately 2000 active volunteers in the state. The additional general secretary of disaster management, Pratyam Amrit, on Friday ordered all district magistrates to take steps towards the expansion of this power. A meeting with NCC, Nehru Yuva Kendra, NSC and Scout and Guide were discussed to collect their volunteers for collaboration. The Department of Disaster Management also has 9,000 trained disasters volunteers, who will be deployed for a public awareness campaign with civil defense volunteers. Amrit also announced that Daily Honorarium for volunteers from the civil defense will be increased. At present, volunteers from the civil defense are receiving Rs 400 per day, which will now be raised to Rs 700. Apart from this, they will also get separate uniforms for official duty. People of 18 years of age or older can volunteer of a civil defense by contacting the district magistrate’s office in their respective districts. Volunteers play an important role in providing assistance to the district administration, especially during emergency situations and ridiculous drills. The suffix Amrit also announced that, in light of the current wartime scenario, control papers in all police control rooms across the state would be established to ensure better coordination and response. He said that emergency preparations were taken in the health sector after the central government’s instructions. A high -level meeting was held on Friday with the directors of all medical colleges, including AIIMs and Igims to review the situation. Civil surgeons from each district also received information through video conferencing. Control documents are established throughout the state and an ambulance, portable and availability of essential medicine have been intensively evaluated. Extensive arrangements are made according to the central government guidelines to ensure rapid and coordinated response to healthcare. Share this story -tags
