The Special Investigations Team (Sit), which examines the ‘Shalarth ID’ scam in Maharashtra, revealed that more than 500 teachers were recruited without following the prescribed procedures. Shalarth is a centralized portal of the Maharashtra government, which manages the salary and service records of employees of government and government-supported schools. The police officer said the SIT found that only 75 of the 622 teachers appointed were appointed after appropriate procedures. The scam of more than 100 crores has been appointed with false identity cards after taking the remaining 547 to Rs 20-30 Lakh per teacher. This means that this scam can be more than Rs 100 crore. Put in -Charge and Assistant Police Commissioner Sunita Meshram said the investigation is now focused on education officers and teachers except the Deputy Directors of the Education Department. Meshram said that more arrests could be made in this case. He said a team arrested retired deputy director on Friday for his involvement in Bhandara, but that he did not meet at his home. The SIT was founded in April to investigate the whole case to find out how the false identity was used to award salary by Shalarth Portal in Nagpur. Many people have so far been arrested in this case.
