Yesterday, Wednesday, the local prison in Marrakech hosted the final exclusion of the second edition of the “Prison Cooking Arts” competition organized for the benefit of inmates of the prison institutions, with the participation of 20 inmates and inmates.
A communiqué of the General Delegate of the Prison and Reintegration Administration stated that a professional chef has supervised the evaluation of the participants, who were selected based on their results in the previous exclusionary stages and are equally distributed between the cooking and the bread and sweets industry, where accurate criteria were adopted that take into account technical skill, innovation and the quality of application.
According to the same source, the participants showed a “high level of seriousness and professionalism”, especially after the training they were subjected to by companies working in the field of collective cooking within prison institutions.
The communication indicated that a set of promotional prizes was allocated to the winners, which included work contracts with specialized contracts in the field of collective cooking, in addition to financial rewards amounting to 5,000 dirhams for the first winner, 4000 dirhams for the second, and 3000 dirhams for the third, as well as an incentive grant of 2000 dirhams for the rest of the qualified, in appreciation of their efforts and motivating them to continue in the professional qualification path.
This qualification program is a distinct partnership fruit between the General Commission for Prison Administration and Reintegration and Private Sector Companies working in the field of collective nutrition within prison institutions, which reflects more consolidation of the partnership between the public and private sectors in the service of rehabilitating guests to integrate into society after their release.
