Two more independent directors resigned amid Sebi's actions
New -Delhi, April 18 (IANS). Two more independent directors of Jansol Engineering Limited resigned after the actions of Market Regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi). Earlier, market regulators banned Jansol Promotors Anmol Singh Jaggi and Puneet Singh Jaggi for alleged funds and fraud. According to the Exchange filing, Harsh Singh and Kuljit Singh Popli immediately left the company. Earlier, another independent director Arun Menon also resigned from the company. Popli said in his resignation that he was ‘unfortunately’ by the recent developments. He wrote, “I was hopeful that some positive steps would be taken in the last month, but the way things came out, I am unable to continue in the post of independent director.” He added: “I was hopeful that the business that increased so quickly and whose good reputation and credibility is underway will continue to grow and create value for all parties and the issues related to administration would be resolved. However, this did not happen.” On the other hand, Harsh Singh quoted other “professional obligations” behind resignation. Harssh Singh said in his resignation: “I know that my decision came at a time when the company went through a difficult period. My professional commitments in Patna, however, become an obstacle in a useful way to the company.
