Randhir Jaiswal, spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry, said in a statement: “We reject the remarks Bangladesh made about the events of Western Bengals.” The statement says: “This is a hidden and fraudulent attempt to compare India’s concerns about the regular harassment of minorities in Bangladesh, where criminals of such acts still run freely. Instead of making unfair comments, Bangladesh should focus on protecting the rights of his minorities.” According to media reports, at least three people were killed and hundreds of people were killed in the violence in Suti, Dhulian, Samserganj and Jangipur in Murshidabad, and hundreds of people were homeless, after which the central forces were deployed and internet services were suspended.
