New -Delhi, April 15 (IANS). India performed a record of $ 820.93 billion items and services in FY 2024-25. This increased by 5.5 percent annually. The figure was $ 773 billion in FY 2023-24. According to the Ministry of Trade and Industry, exports of goods increased to $ 437.4 billion in FY 2024-25, while exports of non-patrolium increased by 6 percent to $ 374.08 billion. However, the trade deficit in March increased to $ 21.54 billion, which was $ 14.05 billion in February. The export of goods in March increased slightly by 0.7 percent to $ 41.97 billion. At the same time, imports of goods increased by 11.3 percent to $ 63.51 billion. In March, it increased by 13.75 percent in exports compared to the previous month, while imports increased by 24.6 percent. These figures emerged at a time when there was chaos due to the increase in US rates in global markets. India interacts with the US for bilateral trade agreement. However, the US stopped the tariff growth for a period of 90 days. According to official sources, the first phase of the bilateral trade agreement between India and the United States is expected to be completed within the 90-day tariff-free period by the Donald Trump administration. According to senior officials, the terms of the agreement are finalized and further interactions will be held mainly by video conferencing. However, if necessary, Indian officials can visit Washington or US officials to Delhi.
