New -Delhi, September 16 (PTI) The government has filed an initial agreement with the International Labor Organization (ILO) to promote ‘International Reference Classification of Occupation’ and to facilitate youth in the use of global jobs, a statement from the Ministry of Labor states. Labor and employment and youth affairs and sports Mansukh Mandaviya practically attended the signing of memorandum or unification between the government of India and the International Labor Organization (ILO) for collaboration to develop ‘International Reference Classification of Accupations’, the ministry said. Mandaviya drew attention to India’s steady progress towards greater formalization of the economy. Gilbert F Houngbo, Director of Ilo, noted that the sleeve would have a far -reaching impact on countries around the world. He further underlined the good work that India has done in matters related to labor mobility and social protection. During this event, Vandana Gurnani, Secretary (L&E), emphasized that the sleeve provides a framework to undertake a feasibility study and pilot exercise in important areas such as the green, digital and care sector. She set out that in the future this sleeve provides an opportunity for greater cooperation, which benefits the global workforce.
