Indian team stumbled in the initial water polo matches of the Asian aquatic Championship

Ahmedabad, October 4 (IANS). In the 11th Asian aquatic championship 2025, Indian water polo teams (both men and women) suffered the first day defeat in Singapore. The championship is played at the Savarkar Sports Complex. Meanwhile, Victor Druzine and Kareena Madrarupova, Kazakhstan, won gold medals in male and women’s single technical opportunities respectively. In the Men’s Group B match, Singapore defeated India by 20-8. The hosts made a brilliant debut by taking an early lead, but Singapore took the lead due to ongoing wrong passes and foul. For Singapore, Captain Rajendra Sanjeev and C Tian E scored four goals and acted brilliantly. Goh wins Jhe scored three, loh Keden, Chan Dominic and Lok beat two each. Chow Yong completed the score with a goal. For India, Sarang Ravindra and Praveen Gopinathan each scored two goals, while Bhagesh Jagdish, Udaya Utekar, Ankit Prasad and Vibhav Suhas Kuthe scored one by one. The same situation remained the same in the women’s group A match, in which Singapore defeated India 23-10. The invasion of Singapore was led by Yap Jingxuan, who scored a brilliant seven goals. Koh Ting, Lee Zhuan and Koh Shiao scored four goals, while Tio Ji scored three more captain Yeo JHI. For India, Krisha Purochastha scored the most three goals. Kripa Ranichitra scored two goals, while Safwa Sakir, Captain Varsha Suresh, Kalotri Mitra, Dhruthi Kartikeya and Madhurmi Shanti scored one by one. Thailand won a 14-12 win over Kazakhstan in Group B of Women. Quantongtanari Thanedakarna scored six goals, while Puangtong Kritsana (4) and Kongchauy Thanita and Ruangapison Raxina (2-2) also performed well. For Kazakhstan, Captain Mirsina Anastasia scored the highest five goals, while Voronsova Olga (3), Rakhmanova Madina (2) and Pochinok Darya and Kapalun Victoria (1-1) also scored goals. Iran won 14–9 over China with a balanced invasion of Make Group A. Shams Arman scored three goals, while Aghi Karim, Behzadasburi Farbod, Captain Yajdanakhah Mehndi and Jalilpur Amirreja each scored two goals. Mehrikohanshahri Alirja, Iranpatari Ashkan and Sadrania Seyeredfan each recorded one. For China, Zhu Beile scored four goals, followed by Zhu Genmine (2), Wang Bei, Captain Chen Yimin and Ka Yuhao. Japan also defeated Thailand 24-12 in group B of men. Captain Ura Enishi scored eight goals, while Moriya Yuki scored five goals. Loavery Jun and Shoyama You won three-three, Maaida Tochaiyuki and Sakamaki Naru each, and Yamamoto Ryotaro scored one goal.
