India's excellent performance at Uzbekistan Kickboxing World Cup 2025

Jalandhar, October 14 (IANS). India’s Priyanka Thakur won the gold medal in the senior Low Kick event by defeating the Uzbekistan player 3-0 in the final of the Uzbekistan Kickboxing World Cup 2025. Both players work as main constables in Punjab police in Pap of Jalandhar, Punjab. The team was led by inspectors Khem Chand and Ankush Gharu. Priyanka Thakur and Manpreet Kaur said about their coach that they could win the medal because of his good education. Priyanka said this competition was quite difficult, but she tried her best and could win the gold medal. In a way, he gave a gift to India on Diwali by winning the gold medal. Priyanka said she would work even harder for the World Championships and also win the gold medal for India. He thanked his coach and said that he led us well because he had expectations and that he met the expectations. Priyanka said the competition with Uzbekistan and Türkiye players is very difficult. Manpreet Kaur, chief constable in Punjab police, said it was her first competition and that she learned a lot in this competition. She said she was not nervous in this competition at all and that her mother’s dream that she wanted to see her on TV came true. Manpreet Kaur said she would now work hard for the world championship and that India would make the gold win. Manproet further said that the competition, due to the presence of Polish team and local players from Uzbekistan, was quite difficult, but because of the good training of the coach, she was able to win the bronze medal. Inspector Khemchand, the coach of both women players, said he felt very proud that his players had brought the country to the land of India and that one had won gold and the other bronze medal.
