The Sambhal District Administration has ordered an investigation to find out whether the land on which the local Dargah is built is the property of WAQF or not. According to the complaint, a person named Shahid Mian illegally occupied Dargah of Dada Maujmiya Shah on Waqf’s land in the Janeta -Gram Panchayat of Baniakheda Development Block of Chandausi. The complainant of the medical clinic, Javed, who ran on the polluted country, said the accused also runs an unauthorized medical clinic on the polluted country. The complaint claimed that WAQF’s land was vacant from 2019 without ‘Mutavalli’ or caretaker, but Shahid earned a significant income from ‘the annual URS festival held at the Dargah’. Tehsildar Dhirendra Pratap Singh of Chandausi said that the property considered is not registered in the revenue records as WAQF land, and that the ongoing investigation will now focus on financial transactions related to the Dargah from 2019. Property WAQF is not registered as land, this complaint came after the implementation of the WAQF Act on April 3. Singh said with Media that he had earlier received complaints about the Dargah in Janeta. He said: “Shahid Mian was asked to provide documents related to Mian, some of which have already submitted. Further actions will be decided after a thorough investigation into these documents.” The Tehsildar also said that the Dargah property was not registered as WAQF land in the revenue records. He said: “It raises questions on the grounds on which it is claimed to have waqf land. It will be the most important center of investigation.” Share this story -tags
