New -Delhi, September 27 (IANS). Before the Indian Premier League 2026, Rajasthan Royals (RR) broke ties with Dishant Yagnik, who worked as a long off -road coach. Yagnik was associated with the team as a player from IPL 2011 to 2014 season. As a field coach, he was associated with RR from 2018. According to information received by IANS, RR broke ties with Yagnik. Yagnik played an important role in improving RR’s fieldwork of Indian and foreign players. Before Yagnik, the routes of RR and head coach Rahul Dravid were also separated. Dravid became the head coach of RR after making the Indian team champion in their coaching in the T20 World Championships 2024. It was believed that his tenure as RR coach would be long, but recently he resigned from the post of head coach. RR’s performance in Rahul’s coaching was very disappointing in 2025 and the news of split in the team was also reported. In RR 2025, the league stage finishes ninth with four wins in 14 games. Yagnik is now focusing on working as a field coach from Jammu and Kashmir team in the coming domestic season. Last season, he was one of the most important members of the coaching staff, with Jammu and Kashmir qualifying for the Ranji Trophy Quarter finals. After Rahul Dravid and Dishant Yagnik, many more names can be unveiled from the RR franchise before next season. The biggest name in this is Captain Sanju Samson. Samson is believed to be dissatisfied with the team management and can be separated from the team before the auction. -Ians bag shares this story tags
