Iran intends to double the number of foreign tourists to 15 million visitors annually

Iran strives to double the number of foreign tourists to 15 million annually within five years, compared to about 7.3 million external tourists who visited the country over the past year, according to Reda Salhi Amiri, Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Crafts. In an interview with “Al -Sharq”, on the sidelines of the conference of the tourism ministers in the countries of the “D8” group (D8) in Cairo, the government also noted within five years to increase the hotel capacity to absorb 900 thousand beds, to absorb the number of targeted visitors and to create more than 100 thousand posts annually.
