The mythology of India is full of wonderful events and esoteric secrets. There are many stories from the Mahabharata period still seen in Kali Yuga. There is a similar story of the grandson of Bhima of Mahabharata, who was killed by Lord Krishna, but he still received a blessing that he would be worshiped as God in Kalyug. This story is related to Barbarik, son of Ghatotkacha, who is worshiped today as Shri Khatu Shyam Ji. Who was Barbaric? Barbarik Mahabali was the son of Bhima and Nagakanya Ahilavati’s son Ghatotkach. That is, he was from the third generation of the Pandavas. Since childhood, Barbarik has been proficient in war skills. He received three such divine arrows from the gods, with the help of which he could win any war in an eye. Barbarik had the blessing that he would participate, only he would conquer. Before the Mahabharata War, when the Mahabharata war was about to start, Barbarik decided that he would fight on behalf of the side that would be weak. When he heard this, Lord Krishna became anxious, because if Barbarik had joined the war, his divine arrows would have spoiled the war balance. Shri Krishna decided to take the examination of Barbarik. He approached himself as a monk and asked him about his war skills. Barbarik showed his three arrows and said he could destroy enemies on any battlefield with one arrow. Shri Krishna asked for the head of Barbarik’s head, when Sri Krishna heard it, he was worried about the fairness of war. He asked Barbarik as a brave fighter – his head. Barbarik smiles and donates his head with his mother’s consent. But he asked Sri Krishna a bride – that he wanted to see the war of Mahabharata with his cut off. Sri Krishna gave this blessing and Barbarik’s head was put on a hill and the war was shown. Fortunately with this great sacrifice and dedication of God – Khatu Shyam Barbarik made in Kali Yuga, Shri Krishna gave him a blessing: “You will be worshiped as a form in me in Kalyug. Whoever takes your name with a sincere heart will be fulfilled.” After this blessing, Barbarik in Kali Yuga was known as ‘Shri Shyam baby’. He has a big temple in Khatudham in the Sikar district of Rajasthan, where millions of dedicates come to visit each year. Khatu Shyam Ji’s identity Khatu Shyam Ji is called God of Kalyug. His name was ‘Shyam’ because Shri Krishna himself gave this name. Khatu Shyam Ji is believed to be represented by Shri Krishna in Kali Yuga. Every person who calls the name of Shyam baby with a sincere heart removes all his problems. He is particularly worshiped at the Phalgun Fair, where millions of dedicates walk on foot to visit him. Fans call him names like “Shyam Baby”, “Laxman Rupi Shyam”, “Shyam Sarkar” and “Thakurji”. Why is this story important? This mythology is not only of a brave fighter, but also the story of the highlight of sacrifice, loyalty and dedication.
