Sharad Pawar, head of the Nationalist Congress Party (SP), responded to the constant struggle over language dispute in the state. He said it is not right to make Hindi language compulsory in primary education. There is no problem learning Hindi to the fifth class. Because a large population of the country uses Hindi language. Sharad Pawar said: Small children should not be placed on a very burden of the language. It would be wrong if a child learns a new language from his mother tongue. He proposed to the state government to rise the insistence on Hindi on the fifth class. Mother tongue should be priority in any condition. After the fifth class, if the parents of the child want to learn a different language, it can be decided. The decision to make Hindi language compulsory in Maharashtra becomes a problem for the Fadnavis government. However, after strict opposition of the opposition, the government made Hindi optional instead of the third compulsory language. Nevertheless, the Thackeray brothers, ie Uddhav and Raj Thackeray, opened a front against the Fadnavis government. Both have announced the protest that the identity of marathi language will not be tolerated. The political struggle of Marathi vs Hindi in Maharashtra is sharp. Earlier, Raj Thackeray’s party MNS raised his voice against Marathi’s support and Hindi. MNS workers run a signature campaign in support of marathi. At the same time, Shiv Sena (UBT) president and former chief minister of Uddhav Thackeray got on the ground to register his protest and accused them of imposing Hindi in schools. Now both UDDHAV and Raj Thackeray Brothers have announced an open battle in support of marathi. Uddhav Thackeray named the issue as a conspiracy of Chief Minister Fadnavis, saying that the marathi-Hindi controversy from students to teachers shares. But after increasing protests, the Grand Alliance government made Hindi the third compulsory language. He tried to control damage by creating a third alternative language for him.
