Ambulances were interrupted by vehicles in Lahaul spiti; Case submitted on two
On Thursday, an ambulance from the Kaja civil hospital to the Recong Pio Hospital in Kinnraur was stopped by two vehicles -a pace traveler and a car near Herling Village in the Spiti district, which led to unnecessary delays in medical medical services. The delay was reportedly due to a dispute over the two drivers, which blocked the path of ambulance. The Lahaul Spiti police acted quickly on the information, and began legal action against the two drivers among the parts of the Motor Vehicles Act. The car driver was found to be drunk. As a result, he was charged under section 185 (drunken car), 194d (Stop emergency vehicles), 100 (2), 182A (4), 190 (2) and 177, which resulted in a great fine of Rs 44,000. A case under Article 196 (management without insurance), 111, 182a (4) and 177, is registered, which was fined Rs 20 500. Police have emphasized the importance of public cooperation to give a clear way of emergency vehicles.
