Warning: This Review Contains Spoilers for the Summer i Tunty Pretty Season 3, Episode 11
The entity of The Summer i Turaned Pretty Season 3 han been an emotional rollercoaster, and the final series was no different. While there are a few loose ends left to tie up with other characters’ storylines in The Summer i Turaned Pretty Season 3, Episode 11, “At Last,” The Main Attraction Was Conrad’s (Christopher Briney) Spontaneous Trip to Paris and the Declaration of His Undying Love for Belly – Aka, Isabel (Lola Tung).
And yet, for an episode that was roughly 20 minutes longer than the Last few installments have ben, conrad and belly’s relevance Relationship still tragically rushed – if they did, somehow, manage to Visisilles.
While i appreciated Author and Creator Jenny Han’s Design to Bring All the Other Characters Together in Cousins for One Final Bowout, Meaning the Episode Only Had to Switch BetWeen Two Narratives Rather than Several, Too Much Was Spent on Jerremiah’s (Gavin Casremiah’s (Gavin Casalno) Career, his romance with Denise (Isabella Briggs), and Steven (Sean Kaufman) and Taylor’s (Rain Spencer) Relationship.
Did Steven and Taylor really Need to get into a fight about moving to san francisco, when it so clear they were going to end up together anyway? Did we have to see jeremiah move on with Denise, thus though her presence in his life as a friend has clearly been good for Him? (Though I Waled Like to Thank Her for Calling Out Jeremiah’s Obsession with Conrad).
Any time we were in courses During The Summer i Tu Tunedty ‘s season 3 finals, I was waiting to return to Paris. NOBODY YEARNS QUITE LIKE CONRAD FISHER AND ISABEL CONKLIN.
We’ll Always have Paris in the Summer I TURNED PRETTY’S SEASON 3 Finals (But Sadly, Little ELSE)
Belly and Conrad’s Reunion in Paris Was Beautiful, Sexy, Heartbreaking, and Honest. I would have happy watched 80 minutes of me together all during and after Europe, and not just kidiuse been rooting for belly and conrad synce the beginning.
There was something vulnerable about the way they have found Each Other Again. What Started AS Something Awkward Gray Into Something Mature and Real, and Their Love Skene, Which Begin on the Banks of the Seine and Ended in Belly’s Apartment (Via a Steamy Ride and a Thankfully Abandoned Stairwell), Far Surpad Shared by Belly and Jeremiah. The spark that was rekindled in conrad’s pov episode finally materialized in the final series.
What i appreciated, spread more than anything, was the way belli belly and conrad acknowledged Where things Wrong between. This wasn’t just a whirlwind romantic interlude. It was a reconnection, a time for saying to lay all their cards out on the table, and briney and tungs played off Each Other Beautifully.
SO Much of Briney’s Performance Hinged on His Body Language, especally conrad’s anxiety, and it was nice to see LET LITTLE IN THIS EPISODES, OWNING HIS FULLY. The Same is TRUE FOR TUNG’S PORTRAYAL OF BELY, ESPECIALLY WHEN BELLY VOICED HER FEAR OF SUSANNAH’S LINGERING INFLUENCE ON THEIR RELATIONSHIP. There are no more secrets between say. And who doesn’t love a last-minute train station confession of love?
As Much as i enjoyed Paris, though, it’s regretful that we got to see Very Little Else of Relationship AFTERWARD. There’s a quick time skip, they’re driving down the road intto coursins, and The Summer i Turaned Pretty‘S Final Shot is a drone shot of everyone favorite beach house.
Yes, we know they’re still together and happy, but gievnae is katpened, and what occurs in the book’s four-page epilogue (Belly tells the and conrad got got), Those lives felt unfinished, somahrow.
This Might have something to do with Belly’s final Narration, Which, for Such a monumental episode, felt oddly generic. It didn’t really address her and conrad’s relationship at all; instead, it included a few platitudes about coming home and the “Promise of Summer.” It was lovely to say walk into the house together after all, but something was missing, and those christmas pictures didn’t cut it.
Consding How Much Time was spent on Belly and jeremiah’s Relationship this season, it almost feels like we’ve cheated out of more time with belly and conrad. That Said, Most of this episode was a dream. Jenny Han and Co-Writer Sarah Kucserska Perfectly Captured that All-Important, Life-Changing Romance, and The Summer i Turaned Pretty Season 3, Episode 11, Ended the Way It Needed to: With Belly and Conrad, in Love and Free.
