Srinagar, October 3 (IANS). Abdul Rahim Rathar, Speaker of Jammu and the Kashmir meeting, said on Friday that if Doda Mla Mehraj Malik, who was jailed, was attending the upcoming session, it would be a welcome step, but he made clear that this decision was dependent on the court or the government. Rathar said that Malik should get permission in legal ways. He said: “They must move to court, or if the government allows them, they must be present. It depends on whether the government or the court allows them or not.” Rather, on the issue of the PDP MLA Waheed Para, confirmed that the show notification against him is still being considered. He said: “Para has submitted his answer and the matter is being considered.” The speaker further said that the mercury had previously spread the wrong information in which he claimed that the Secretariat of the meeting approved the Public Security Act (PSA) against the Doda MLA, which made it clear that it was wrong. The speaker said: “The secretariat does not have such a power. PSA is imposed by the district magistrate.” The chairman said the upcoming session of the Jammu and Kashmir Law meeting, which was called by the Lieutenant -Governor on October 23, will be shortened and that a preliminary calendar will be released soon. Doda Mla Malik was detained by the District Magistrate under the Public Safety Act (PSA), describing his activities as harmful to peace and order in the district. The Public Safety Act (PSA) allows a person to be detained for a maximum of two years without any judicial intervention. Malik won the 2024 election of Doda as the AAM AADMI Party (AAP) candidate and became the party’s only representative in the 90s Member.
