Jammu and Kashmir: Training of mushroom production given to more than 50 women under 'Hadp' scheme

Jammu, June 3 (IANS). The Department of Agriculture is training more than 50 women under the Composite Agricultural Development Program (HADP) to make Doda in Jammu and Kashmir an important center for mushroom cultivation. The Composite Agricultural Development Program (HADP) is an important initiative of the government of Jammu and Kashmir, designed to bring a revolution in the agricultural sector through innovation and inclusion. All of these women who receive training are associated with the Jammu and Kashmir rural manager. It aims to equip women with mushroom production skills and make them self -sufficient. Some beneficiaries spoke to the IANS news agency and shared their experiences about this initiative. Priyanka Chib, a local Doda resident, said: “The Agriculture Division of Doda is training for the first time. By this we get a lot of information, which we will benefit in the business world. Especially women who get training will start the mushroom business and earn revenue from it.” Sushil Razdan, an officer associated with the training program, said under the “HadP” scheme we are training all these women and the department also gives subsidy to those who want to open their mushroom setup in Doda. Many large mushroom units are run by the people and now women are also emerging. ‘Chief Agricultural Officer Doda Amjad Hussain Malik said:’ There are many schemes in the agriculture division, which people get benefits. Today, we have trained unemployed women here, so that they can start their own business in the future and make money from these schemes. ‘The HADP scheme contains 29 projects that include agriculture, horticulture, livestock and research and development, aimed at promoting the economy of the field, strengthening the growth and promoting the region’s economy.
